Virtual University of Pakistan organized a seminar titled “ICT for Women Entrepreneurship” at M.A. Jinnah Campus Lahore on November 29, 2016. The objective of the seminar was to create awareness about the various options for facilitating women entrepreneurs to expand their businesses by using latest ICT tools in Pakistan. Mr. Ammar Jaffri, DG, Center of Information Technology was the chief guest of the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on empowering women through ICTs skills so that entire community would be better equipped to adapt development, a large number of girls were currently being trained in ICT skills in the villages of remote and rural parts of Pakistan. Students and faculty members attended the seminar which was concluded with a question-answer session.
