A talk on “Strongly-Coupled Local Industry-based Need for Big Data in IoT; should we bet or not?” was organized by Department of Computer Science, Virtual University of Pakistan on May 24, 2017. The talk was organized at Lawrence Road Office Lahore. The event was live streamed on YouTube and a big number of computer science students from other cities participated in the session through video link. The talk was focused to enable the students to learn the way of methodology to real world practices in Big Data applications.

Dr. Ali Hammad Akbar from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore  was the guest speaker. He briefed the participants about the Industrial Big data, problem-theoretic approach to Pakistani manufacturing industry.

Students from different cities connected via Video link as well as using YouTube Live Streaming Link. The event concluded with an interactive question answer session.
