9th Convocation of Virtual University held at Faisalabad

Virtual University of Pakistan commemorated 9th convocation for its students from Faisalabad and surroundings at Serena Hotel, Faisalabad. A total of 598 students graduated after successful completion of various degree programs. Gold medals and merit certificates were also awarded to outstanding graduates. Degrees were conferred to the graduates by the chief guest Prof. Dr. Munawar Sultana Mirza, ex-Vice Chancellor, University of Education Lahore along with Dr. Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan.

The convocation was declared open by Dr. Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. Addressing the convocation, Dr. Naveed A. Malik congratulated the graduating students and urged them to play their due role in nation building. He said that the students’ success was the result of their hard work for which the credit also goes to their parents. He also spoke about the academics, research developments, new degree programmes and extra-curricular activities of the university. He said that Virtual University is establishing itself as a talent development institution by using its knowledge, resources and skills for the growth of human resources in Pakistan.

He added that by using VU’s most advanced digital learning infrastructure, youth from across the country will be providing their services to the entire world. He further said  that three international conferences were arranged last year. He  encouraged students to take part in such conferences and seminars. He told that a fully equipped mobile laboratory for life sciences student will be functional within this academic year. Prof. Dr. Munawar Sultana Mirza congratulated the degree holders and their parents. She applauded the endeavors being made by Virtual University of Pakistan for imparting quality education across the country. An audience including proud parents, members of faculty, and eminent personalities from academia attended the event.
