Virtual University of Pakistan commemorated 9th convocation for its students from Bahawalpur and Cholistan region at Four Seasons Banquet Hall, Bahawalpur.
A total of 575 students were conferred degrees for the successful completion of various degree programs. Merit certificates were also awarded to outstanding graduates. Prof. Dr. Asghar Hashmi, Dean Faculty of Science, Islamia University Bahawalpur graced the occasion as chief guest and along with Dr. Naveed A Malik, distributed awards to high achievers.
Earlier in inaugural address, Dr. Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of welcomed the guests and profusely thanked chief guest and respected parents for gracing the auspicious event with their presence. He said that VU is committed to spur the nation’s economic growth and development by converting knowledge into practical experience.
Dr. Naveed A Malik also highlighted the achievements of Virtual University, its leading role in delivering information and communication technology based education and contribution in the provision of quality education to the remotest areas of the country.
An audience included parents, members of faculty, eminent personalities from academia, corporate and public sector. The ceremony was marked with deep appreciation from parents and faculty with best wishes for the future.
