Virtual University of Pakistan commemorated 10th convocation for its students from north-east of Punjab at Golf View Hall in Sialkot. As many as 416 VU graduates received Bachelor’s, Master’s and MS degrees at the ceremony. Gold Medals and Merit Certificates were also awarded to outstanding graduates. 

The convocation was declared open by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas Choudhry, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. While addressing on this auspicious occasion he welcomed all the guests and thanked all participants for gracing the auspicious event with their presence. He said that the parents and teachers deserve to be congratulated the same as the students today. He asked students to always remain respectful to their parents and set targets and goals to achieve better results.

He further highlighted the achievements of Virtual University, its leading role in delivering information and communication technology based education and contribution in the provision of quality education even to the remotest areas of the country. He said that the academic institutes foster the culture of academic excellence and in this process, Virtual University has constantly maintained high standards in all spheres to align future strategic directions.

Speaking to the cheering graduates as chief guest, formar Chairman PTA-PTCL and PEMRA Mian Muhammad Javed recognized the efforts to promote quality education in the country. Chief Guest along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas Choudhry distributed medals and awards among high achievers to celebrate dedication in their respective disciplines. Besides the dignitaries and families of the students, faculty members and a large number of students were present at the convocation.
