Foreign Delegation visits Virtual University of Pakistan

A four member delegation from Finland and UAE visited Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) on April 11, 2019. The delegation comprised of Mr. Matti Saren, President, KAMK University of Applied Sciences Finland, Mr. Jarmo Jarvenpaa, CEO, iSTOC Oy, Mr. Ijaz Kashmiri, CEO, SKIF Enterprises and Mr. Sayed Jawed from Allied ICT Finland.

The purpose of their visit was to explore the possibilities for a platform through which virtual education can be taken way forward. The delegates were given an introduction of VUP at M. A. Jinnah Campus Lahore.

The delegation, led by Matti Saren, President, KAMK University of Applied Sciences Finland also called on Mr. Naeem Tariq, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. Foreign delegates desired to establish liaison with Hi-Tech, IT industry and universities of Pakistan to strengthen academia-industry linkages.

They agreed to explore the future collaboration possibilities for provision of online education in Pakistan. The delegation also visited various departments of the university.  The delegation’s visit concluded with the tour of VUTV. They admired the expertise of VUTV and its process from recording to telecasting lectures on four VUTV channels.
