MoU was signed by Dr. Naveed A. Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan and Rana Assad Amin, Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) in a ceremony held at M.A Jinnah Campus, Lahore on March 27, 2017. .

Both organizations will develop cooperation through technological infrastructure and resource sharing. The general objective of the cooperation is to contribute to good governance and an efficient public administration in Pakistan. Virtual University of Pakistan will also provide technical assistance on establishment of Information Technology Wing of the DAGP on permanent basis.

On this occasion, Dr. Naveed A Malik also apprised the DAGP delegation about the achievements of Virtual University, its leading role in delivering information and communication technology based education and contribution in the provision of quality education across the country. Rana Assad Amin, AGP said that the MoU will be a milestone in capacity building for both organizations. He further said that DAGP intends to take advantage from VUP by using its Distance Learning mode and highly skilled manpower.

Later, the official toured VUTV network and appreciated state of the art television set up of Virtual University of Pakistan.
