This program is designed to produce highly skilled, analytical and forward-thinking graduates who are ready to slot into a specialized role in the rapidly growing banking industry, finance and financial consultancy sectors. The program will also be suitable for existing employees of these organizations to provide in depth understanding of the financial markets and their institutions as well as a clear comprehension of the financial instruments at their disposal.

Admission Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having Bachelor’s degree (14-year education) in [B.Com, BBA (2-year) and other relevant equivalent qualification] with at least 45% marks or CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4 are eligible to apply.
Candidates holding B.A/B.Sc. or Bachelor degree in disciplines other than those mentioned above may enter through Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) route.
Candidates having less than 45% in their graduation from a recognized university / institute can become eligible to apply for admission towards Master of Banking & Finance provided they firstly qualify Mathematics, Computer Proficiency, and English courses in a single semester (called “Zero Semester
”) and achieve a semester GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.
VU graduates holding B.Com and BA in Business Administration (2-years) degree are allowed only to continue in their respective BS (4-year) study programs.
Course(s) exemption is allowed.
It is a two-year duration program spread over four semesters. Each semester has at least 18 weeks duration.

Assessment of Study Progress
The students study progress evaluation mechanism is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester by giving assignments, quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), mid-term and final-term examinations.
Award of Degree
To become eligible for the award of Master of Banking and Finance degree, students are required to qualify prescribed courses amounting to at least 66 credit hours with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 out of 4.

The courses may be revised time to time as a result of continuous review to bring them at par with courses from being taught at top-class foreign universities. While reviewing the courses, needs of local industry and job market are also given full consideration.
