Our department offers a range of undergraduate and certificate programs in economics and collaborates with other faculties across the university to provide specialized and integrated economics courses.
Over the years, the Department of Economics has achieved significant milestones that reflect dedication to excellence in teaching including the initiation of degree programs of MSc. Economics and BS Economics. The degree programs were conceived with a vision to empower students with a profound understanding of economic principles and equip them with the skills necessary for success in the dynamic world of academia, policymaking, and industry. We are committed not only to academic excellence but also to fostering a strong outreach presence, both locally and globally.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the M. Phil Economics degree program, further expanding our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the economic landscape. Over two decades, the Department of Economics has produced many graduates who are serving at national and international platforms in diverse fields such as finance, policymaking, academia, and international development.
