The Department of Economics at Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) successfully organized a one-day training workshop on Mastering Time Series Analysis, theory and practical application in STATA on November 3rd, 2025. Dr. Muhammad Shakeel, Incharge Department of Economics, VUP and Dr. Muhammad Hafeez, Assistant Professor, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad were the resource persons of the workshop.
This one-day intensive workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of time series econometrics, blending theoretical foundations with hands-on practical sessions using Stata. Participants explored various time series models and stochastic processes, including, Stationarity Testing in Single & Panel Contexts, ARDL & Non-Linear ARDL Analysis for Country Data, Granger Causality Tests and Quantile ARDL Approach for Panel Data.
The workshop concluded with participants acquiring an in-depth understanding of economic and financial time-series analysis, the application of appropriate econometric techniques for theses and journal publications, and the enhancement of empirical research quality in the social sciences, business and statistics.
