The Department of Management Sciences at the Virtual University of Pakistan successfully conducted an engaging and interactive online orientation session for newly admitted students of Spring 2026. The session was held in an online mode bringing together students through Zoom platform, while the faculty members joined both in-person and virtually.
The primary objective of the session was to warmly welcome the new cohort of students and provide them with a comprehensive overview of the department, its academic offerings, and learning environment. The orientation began with the recitation of Holy Qur’an followed by an introduction of the department by the Head of the Department, Dr. Muhammad Zaheer (Associate Professor). The faculty members who attended the session in-person included Dr. Rizwan Saleem, Dr. Noreen Zahra, Dr. Nazia Rafiq, Dr. Aisha Isamail, Mr. Ahsan Masood, Mr. Shahbaz Yaqub and Ms. Asifa Ilyas. They provided valuable guidance to the students on academic success, professional development, and making the most out of their academic journey.
The active participation and enthusiasm of the students made the session truly remarkable, who joined from different regions of Pakistan. Their queries, feedback, and interaction reflected a strong eagerness to begin their academic journey. The online mode of the session also ensured inclusivity and accessibility, allowing students to connect seamlessly regardless of their location.
