The Department of Economics at the Virtual University of Pakistan organized an orientation session on April 27, 2026, to welcome new students enrolled in the semester ‘Spring 2026’. Dr. Muhammad Shakeel, in-charge Department of Economics, opened the session with a warm welcome address and shared valuable information with attendees. Miss. Maida Amjad hosted the event while senior faculty members of the department guided the students regarding their studies through presentations.
During the session, the Head of Department, Dr. Muhammad Shakeel, highlighted the importance of continuous learning through webinars on emerging and recent topics. Students were further briefed on internship opportunities, project work, and various career pathways available to economics graduates, including diverse job prospects in both public and private sectors. The event concluded with a live question-and-answer session, addressing students' queries.
