RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research interests focus on the study of Islamic thought, Islamic law, Islamic banking and finance, and education from an Islamic perspective. My academic background in Islamic Studies, along with my training in Islamic Banking and Finance, has developed my interest in understanding how Islamic principles can be studied and applied to contemporary social, economic, political, and educational issues. One of my major areas of interest is Islamic Political Philosophy in the Modern Age. I am interested in exploring how Islamic political thought has developed in response to modern political ideas and changing social conditions. My research in this area focuses on concepts such as justice, governance, consultation (Shura), accountability, human dignity, rights, and the relationship between Islamic principles and modern political systems. I am particularly interested in examining classical Islamic political thought and its relevance to contemporary challenges. Another important area of my research interest is Islamic Commercial Law. I am interested in studying the principles of Islamic transactions and their application to modern business practices. This includes areas such as contracts, trade, partnership, leasing, sale, financial transactions, and contemporary commercial issues. My aim is to understand how the principles of Islamic jurisprudence can provide guidance for dealing with new forms of business and financial activities while maintaining the basic objectives and ethical values of Islamic law. I also have a strong research interest in Islamic Banking and Finance. My academic and professional interest in this field has encouraged me to study contemporary Islamic financial products and their underlying Shariah principles. I am particularly interested in issues related to Murabahah, Mudarabah, Musharakah, Ijarah, Salam, and other Islamic modes of finance. I am also interested in examining how the principles of Usul al-Fiqh can help in developing and evaluating modern Islamic banking products. This area provides an important opportunity to connect traditional Islamic legal principles with the needs of modern financial institutions. Another area of interest is the Principles of Education in Islam. I am interested in studying the Islamic approach to education, particularly its aims, values, methods, and role in the development of individuals and society. Islamic education is not limited to the transfer of knowledge; it also focuses on character building, moral development, responsibility, and the balanced development of human beings. I am interested in exploring how these principles can contribute to contemporary educational practices. Overall, my research interests aim to build a connection between classical Islamic scholarship and contemporary issues. I am particularly interested in research that is academically sound, relevant to present-day challenges, and based on authentic Islamic sources. Through my research, I hope to contribute to a better understanding of Islamic principles and their possible applications in modern political, economic, financial, and educational contexts.
