Muhammad Shahbaz Yaqub – an old Hailian is associated with Virtual University of Pakistan since February 2011. At present, he is working at Department of Management Sciences of the university in the capacity of Assistant Professor. He has served the same University as Lecturer from February 24, 2011 to January 13, 2015. Before joining the university, he had worked as teaching fellow with Punjab Group of Colleges – the largest private educational network in Asia. He has done his MS in Banking and Financial Economics from Department of Economics, Govt. College University, Lahore. He holds Master degree in Commerce specializing in finance from University of the Punjab, Lahore-Pakistan besides having Post Graduate Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting form the same university. Being a Chartered Management Accountant, he holds fellow memberships of Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and associate membership of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA), where he also has been associated as a visiting fellow of the faculty. He has also been given affiliate membership by The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA), U.K. He has been a guest speaker at trainings sessions at Performance Audit Wing (PAW) – an organization headed by the Auditor General of Pakistan. He has more than 10 years of professional teaching and industrial work experience to his credit. He has attended various training sessions on diverse range of issues during his career. His area of interest includes corporate finance, investments and financial accounting. |
