Dr. Hafsa has completed her PhD from the Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan with a two years research fellowship at the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham, UK. Her main research expertise include: Bioinformatics, Drug Discovery and Design, Vaccine Design, Neuronal Cell Culture, Drug Testing and other fields of Biological Sciences. Previously, she has completer her M.Phil. in Molecular Biology and BS in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She has international research publications as well as teaching experience.
BIOINFORMATICS AREAS OF RESEARCH: Drug Discovery, Drug Designing, Molecular Docking, Visual Molecular Dynamics, ADME Prediction Tools, Cytotoxicity Prediction Tools, Vaccine Designing, Antigenic Epitope Prediction Tools, Drug Synergism Softwares, Online Databases, Sequence Analysis, Phylogenetic Analysis.
WET LAB RESEARCH SKILLS: Molecular Biology Lab Techniques, Gene Transformation, Gene Expression, Tissue Culture, Cell Culture, Cytotoxicity Assays (MTT) and Enzyme Activity Assays using Neuroblastoma cell-line, Neuronal Cells Differentiation and Maintenance, Medicinal Extract Preparation, Enzyme-Drug Inhibition, Anti-Oxidant Assays, Microbial Culturing, Characterization, Microscopy and Identification. |
