Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc. Applied Psychology

Bachelor’s Degree (14-year education) with ‘Psychology’ as an elective subject (or any other relevant equivalent qualification) from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

Note:

Candidates holding bachelor’s degree in disciplines other than mentioned above may enter through Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Applied Psychology from VUP route.

• Candidates holding PGD in Applied Psychology from VUP will be given course(s) exemptions accordingly upon continuation towards M.Sc. Applied Psychology Program.

M.Sc. Organizational Psychology 

Bachelor’s Degree (14-year education) with ‘Psychology’ as an elective subject, BBA (or any other relevant equivalent qualification) from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

Note:

• Candidates holding bachelor’s degree in any other disciplines other than mentioned above may enter through Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology (PGD) from VUP route.
• Candidates holding PGD in Applied Psychology from VUP will be given course(s) exemptions accordingly upon continuation towards M.Sc. Organizational Psychology Program.

M.Sc. Economics

Candidates having bachelor’s degree (14-year education) e.g. BA/ BSc/ B Com or equivalent with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4 are eligible to apply.

MA English Language Teaching (ELT)

BA/B.Sc. or equivalent relevant qualification with ‘English’ as compulsory/optional subject with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4 from HEC recognized university/institution.

Master Of Computer Science (MCS)/ Master of Information Technology (MIT)

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/ institute in any of the following subject: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Commerce, Statistics, Economics, Engineering wherein two courses must be from the same department in a semester system or at least 150 marks weightage under annual system. Candidate must have at least 45% marks in the graduation degree. Candidate holding PGD in Computer & Information Technology, PGD in Business Administration dually issued by the recognized Institute / University are eligible for admission towards MCS Program.

Note:

• Candidates who have not studied any one of the required above-mentioned subjects in their graduation are eligible for MCS admission provided they firstly qualify four courses namely Introduction to Computing, Business Mathematics & Statistics, Calculus and Analytical Geometry and English Comprehension by taking a MCS/MIT Deficiency Semester
• However, candidates having less than 45% marks will be eligible for admission after successful completion of “Zero Semester”. (Note: Candidates holding Bachelor’s degree with less than 45 % marks or 3rd Division, but have not studied any of the required subjects Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or Engineering for admission to MCS/MIT are required to qualify the Deficiency Semester as well.)

Master Of Education (M.Ed.)

B.Ed./ B.S.Ed. (3-year) with at least 45% marks in annual system or CGPA 2.0 out of 4 from a recognized university/institution.

Master of Accounting/ Master of Accounting & Finance/ Master of Banking & Finance / Master of Commerce (M. Com) / Master of Finance 

Candidates having Bachelor’s degree (14-year education) in [B.Com, BBA (2-year) and other relevant equivalent qualification] with at least 45% marks or CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4 are eligible to apply.

Note

• Candidates holding B.A/B.Sc. or Bachelor degree in disciplines other than those mentioned above may enter through Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) route.

M.Sc. Mathematics 

Candidates having B.Sc. with Mathematics ‘A’ & Mathematics ‘B’ courses (bachelor’s degree 14-year education) with at least 45% marks in annual system or CGPA 2.00 out of 4 in semester system.

M.Sc. Statistics 

Candidates having bachelor’s degree (14-year education) e.g. BA/ B.Sc. with Statistics as an elective subject from a recognized university/institution with a minimum 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

M.Sc. Zoology

Candidates having Bachelor’s degree (14-year education) i.e. B.Sc. 2-year program with Zoology or any other related/ equivalent subject with at least 45% marks in annual system or CGPA of at least 2.00 out of 4 in semester system are eligible to apply.

   Note:

• Only local students are eligible for admission as it is not available in overseas mode.
• Limited seats on merit basis.

M.Sc. Mass Communication/ Master of Human Recourse Management (MHRM) / Master of Operations & Supply Chain Management / Master of Public Administration (MPA

Bachelor’s degree equivalent to 14-year education from a recognized University/Institute with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

BS Mass Communication/ BS Economics/ BS English (Applied Linguistics) / BS Psychology/ BS Sociology/ BS (Computer Science)/ BS (Information Technology)/ BS in Software Engineering/ BS Business Administration / Bachelor’s in business & Information Technology (BBIT) / BS Commerce / BS Public Administration 

Intermediate (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

• Candidates having ‘A’ levels are required to provide equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Islamabad. (http://www.ibcc.edu.pk/)

BS (Bioinformatics) 

Intermediate with Pre-engineering / Pre-medical / Computer Sciences (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

BS (Biotechnology) 

Intermediate with Pre-Medical (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

   Note

• The BS in Biotechnology program is only available for applicants residing within Pakistan and is not available for overseas students. If any student wishes to move overseas after gaining admission, he/she will be required to withdraw for the program.
• Limited seats on merit basis.

BS (Zoology) 

Intermediate with Pre-Medical (or equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

• The BS Zoology program is only available for applicants residing within Pakistan and is not available for overseas students. If any student wishes to move overseas after gaining admission, he/she will be required to withdraw for the program.
• Limited seats on merit basis.

BS (Mathematics)

Intermediate / ‘A’ level / equivalent relevant qualification with Mathematics having at least 45% marks.

B.ED (Hons) Elementary/

B.Ed. (Hons.) Early childhood care and education (4 years)

Intermediate (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

B.ED. Secondary (1.5-Year)

MA/M.Sc. (Equivalent to 16 years of education) with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.0 out of 4.

B.ED. Elementary (2.5-years)

BA/ B.Sc. (equivalent to 14 years of education) with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.0 out of 4 from a recognized university/institution.

Associate Degree in Mass Communication/ Associate Degree in Psychology/Associate Degree in Computer Science (2 Years)/ Associate Degree Program In Computer Networking (2-Year)/ Associate Degree Program in Database Management System (2-Year)/ Associate Degree Program in Web Design And Development (2-Year/ Associate Degree Program In Education (2-Year)/ Associate Degree In Early Childhood Care And Education/ Associate Degree in Commerce / Associate Degree in Business Administration/ Associate Degree in Accounting & Finance / Associate Degree in Islamic Banking  / Associate Degree in Human Resource Management  / Associate Degree in Operations Management / Associate Degree in Sales and Marketing   / Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management

Intermediate (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks.

Associate Degree In Education (In-Service)

Intermediate (equivalent to 12 years of education) with at least 45% marks along with followings:

Professional Qualification: CT or Diploma in Education

Minimum 3 years teaching experience in a recognized school.

Diploma in Applied Psychology / Diploma in Television Production/ Diploma in Computer Science/ Diploma in Information Technology/ Diploma in Education/ Diploma in Accounting/ Diploma in Accounting & Finance / Diploma in Business Administration/ Diploma in Banking & Finance    / Diploma in Finance    / Diploma in Public Administration/ Diploma in Marketing Management / Diploma in Entrepreneurship & SME Management   / Diploma in Human Resource Management 

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university/institute in any discipline with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

Diploma in English Language Teaching (ELT)

BA/ B.Sc. or equivalent relevant qualification with ‘English’ as a compulsory/ optional subject with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4 from HEC recognized university/institution.

Diploma in Linguistics

BA/ B.Sc. or equivalent relevant qualification with ‘English’ as a compulsory/ optional subject with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4 from HEC recognized university/institution.

Diploma in Molecular Biology

Bachelor’s degree (14 years) from a recognized University/ Institute in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Forensic Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Animal Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Genetics, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Wildlife, Fisheries, Zoology or equivalent degree in Biological Sciences with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4.

Diploma in Bioinformatics

Minimum bachelor’s degree (14 years) from a recognized university/ institute in relevant fields of Biological/ Life Sciences with at least 45% marks or CGPA 2.00 out of 4. No additional prerequisite will be required.

Specialization Certificate (areas; Banking, Finance, HRM, Management, and Marketing)

Candidate must have completed at least 16-year of education in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
