A high-level delegation from Islamabad Medical and Dental College (IMDC), comprising members of its administration and faculty, visited the Virtual University of Pakistan. The delegation was warmly received by VU Rector, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, along with key officials from VU, including Mr. Ehsen Puri, Director ICT; Prof. Dr. Ather Azim Khan, Registrar; Dr. Faisal Shah, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Fakhar Inam, Director of Quality Enhancement; and Dr. Baber Ali, GM TV.

The IMDC delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. General (R) Muhammad Aslam, included Dr. Ali Tayyab, Principal of the Dental College; Prof. Dr. Haroon Qazi, Principal of the Nursing College; Ms. Hira Ejaz, Chief Information Officer; Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Hussain, and Head of Production, Ms. Nadia Babar.

During the visit, the delegation was briefed on various initiatives undertaken by VU, with a particular focus on its efforts to provide cutting-edge digital education to students across Pakistan. The IMDC delegation expressed their appreciation for VU’s innovative approach and demonstrated a keen interest in collaborating on content development, IT & examination systems, and IT infrastructure for their institution.

Both institutions agreed to sign a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future to formalize this partnership and address the academic and technological needs of IMDC.

The visit concluded with the Rector of VU presenting souvenirs to the delegation from IMDC as a token of appreciation.
