Study Approach:
General Consideration before starting:
Time Management, Scheduling and setting goals, Creating a to-do list, Prioritizing tasks, Developing self-discipline, Reading critically, Taking notes from a text book
To succeed in submitting your assignment/report you must:
-
Organize your time so that you complete your task on time.
-
Writing up is likely to take longer than you think, therefore leave a quarter or a third of the total time for that task.
-
Establish milestones so that you know whether or not you are on target month by month and week by week;
-
Foresee difficulties like computer crash, printer/internet problem etc and allow time for them.
Group Study:
Some Guidelines
It is generally recognized that people can accomplish more by sharing their skills and resources than by working alone.
Here are a few pointers for setting up a study group:
Select people who seem to share your desire to reach your academic goals.
Limit your group to four to six people.
Consider following principles for group study:
-
Question each other on the material assigned
-
Take turns "teaching" each other the material.
-
Take a few minutes at the end of the session to evaluate what you''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''ve done.
