Muhammad Hamza Basit (Tutor Department of Biotechnology, VUP, Lahore). In 2016 I completed my BS(hons) in Biotechnology from University of Lahore. Then later in 2018 I completed my Mphil in Molecular Biology from Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology, Punjab University. In CEMB I joined plant functional genomics lab. My MPhil thesis was entitled as “Analysis of transgenic cotton plants containing Universal Stress protein (Gausp1 and Gausp2) and Zincfinger transcriptional factor (Gaznf) under abiotic stresses”. I developed sound understanding of morphological, physiological, biochemical and molecular characters of transgenic plants before and after stress conditions and got an upper hand on research techniques such as biochemical testing, DNA extraction, RNA Extraction, cloning, purification, PCR, RT-PCR, Cell culture techniques, Blotting techniques, SDS-PAGE and 2D-Gel electrophoresis. I have also
published seven proceedings at national and international level. My subject areas are Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. My are of interest in Plant Genomics and food Biotechnology. |
