Dr. Muhammad Aslam has a specialization in World History and Middle East Politics, his expertise lies in Labor migration from Pakistan to GCC countries and its socio-economic impacts. He joined the Virtual University of Pakistan as a lecturer in 2023. Prior to joining the Virtual University of Pakistan, he was a permanent faculty member at several notable universities in Punjab from 2016 to 2022. He received his Ph.D. degree in history in 2021 from the Northwest University Xian, China, School of World History and Middle East Studies. He did his M.A. (Political Science) in 2009 at the University of the Punjab. He worked with UNDP Pakistan, from 2007 to 2009. Most recently, he completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship (2024–2025) at the Institute of History, University of Bern, Switzerland, further advancing his research interests in migration and sustainable development. |
