Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Introduction

The bachelor's degree program offers a progressive curriculum designed to teach business fundamentals and higher level leadership skills. This specialization in business administration helps you develop the management, interpersonal, and professional skills you need to advance your career. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) is 2 years/ 2.5 years program and designed for candidates having a 14-year education with commerce & business backgrounds, specifically, and students from arts & science backgrounds are also eligible to get admission in BS - Business Administration.

Objectives

  1. This program offers a progressive curriculum designed to teach business fundamentals and higher level leadership skills, and equip students to function more effectively in a business-driven economy.

  2. This program will enable students to learn how businesses fit into the broader economic landscape and gain insight into key business functions, such as accounting, finance, operations, and marketing, and how they work together to keep an organization running smoothly.

  3. This program will help students to examine how technology and innovation can help organizations develop a sustainable competitive advantage.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with a 2-year Associate Degree in the same discipline (from an HEC-recognized institution) will be able to join the 5th semester of a BS program. Those with an Associate Degree in a different discipline or a conventional BA/BSc degree (annual system) must complete a bridging semester/deficiency semester to address academic deficiencies.

The minimum admission eligibility is a 2.00/4.00 CGPA for Associate Degree holders (semester system) or 45% marks for BA/BSc or equivalent (annual system). The University may set higher standards for specific programs.

Assessment Criteria

The students study progress evaluation mechanism is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester by giving assignments, quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), mid-term and final-term examinations.

Award of Degree

To be eligible for the award BS degree, the students are required to complete prescribed course work of 63 credit hours with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.

Project / Internship / Practicals

Students are required to complete a capstone project and internship courses of 3 credit hours each to complete the degree requirement.
