The Department of English began an engaging series of research training sessions with Dr. Noman Ahmed, former Head of the Department of Education, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on “Research Paradigms”. On October 13, 2023, faculty members from both departments converged at the Lawrence Road Office, Lahore diving into various research paradigms. Dr. Noman Ahmed did an elaborate exploration of ontology, epistemology, and axiology of language. Concepts like Interpretivism, Constructivism, and Pragmatism were discussed during the session. Audience’s questions were addressed, and group activities promoted collaborative learning. The purpose of this training was to enhance research supervisors' knowledge and skills in thesis writing supervision. The event had an online participation from the faculty members at other campuses, enriching the exchange of ideas. This session marks the beginning of a promising series of research training, offering more knowledge-sharing and research enthusiasm in future, shaping a brighter academic landscape.
